Fact or Fiction.

Thanks to Jitz, he has prompted this Note, with his thoughtful comment. So if you like it...Please thank (nandhi) him and if you didn't, then i apologise (maappuu) for wasting your precious time.

My recent profile status was to let all my friends & others not on my list to know, that i'm not ignoring them but a fact for the delay in response or none at all.

I used to spend my weekends replying to as many as I could but it's an impossible task with replies & new msgs flooding in constantly.

I accept friendship requests with...'FACE ON, NOT FACE OFF'.

I'm not here to Impress or Suppress, only to Express.

I've nothing to gain or gained by lies/deception in my life and not going to start now, on here, anywhere or ever.

It's not difficult to get these figures, especially for women on networking. For many it's curiosity and not the good of others or better themselves from learning, sharing or caring from this opportunity via networking.

Why do you think, there are so many fake identities here, especially by men pretending to be women? Classic one is Jayabharathi...
'The Golden Goddess of the Silverscreen'.

Q. Do you all think it's actually her account?

A. NO!!!

I'd informed many of my mutual friends to come off, as it's not her's but they're adamant to stay on. I've read msgs on her account from men telling her, how much they admire her.

Their fantasies....'Chechi, enikku ningallae orupadu ishtamaannu'.

Ningalude abhinayam, adipoli.

I dream about you.

Ningal oru ugran saadhanam thanae, chechi.

Chechi ennu, atho aunty ennu villikkatto?

Chechi kshemikoo, pakshe parrayathe irikkaan vayya...lol

OMG, the list goes on.(For my non malayalam speaking friends.
Someone has created a fake account in the name of famous south indian actress from the 70's & 80's. Thousands have joined her list in the belief it's her & have started writing to her about their sick fantasies.

It was funny to read but no longer has access to it because i've deleted the person responsible for that creation.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry but doing neither.

I shall refrain from naming & shaming any of them.

How sick...Guys, get a life. Poor Jayabharathi, if only she knew...what's going through your sick mind.

Not all women are cheap or here to witness or participate in your sick fantasies.

We've feelings too & want genuine friendship with both genders, networking is not an excuse or privilege to be violated.

I've randomly phoned friends here( too many to list), constantly in touch with them too via, fon, sms, email or fb. I prefer not to chat & way too many to deal with.
I've been fortunate to have met few recently.

FaceBook is just as good as Face2Face. We are human beings not robots.

So let's not get carried away & think you could abuse anyone here as you wish.

Please stop complaining for the lack of contact. We're all busy with our lives & treat this as a gift & appreciate it as such.

Be Independent Not Dependant.

No one can promise to be in touch constantly.
Shouldn't expect them to do so instantly.
Everyone has commitments.
Also responsibilities.

Facebook is not a Life Line.
Or a Life Support machine.
No one owes us anything.
Just be grateful for connecting.

It's great to connect with everyone.
Please don't try to own anyone.
Here or in your personal life.
Tiime spent together should be appreciated.

Allow everyone to be comfortable here.
Don't suffocate with demands.
Expectations from others can be devestating.
Especially, when it doesn't go according to plan.

Don't rely on external factors to make you feel good.
It has to come from within, nowhere else.
Applying pressure to do so, will create distance.
Love grows with Space, it's not a Race.

I'm not complaining, just expressing.

We're the Lucky Ones...

Our generation has reaped the benefits of our fathers and forefathers.
They worked hard for what we have today.
No machinery or modern technology to ease the burden.
Slaved away on low pay, at times no pay or gratitude.

Learned skills in their spare time against all odds.
They never gave up, no matter how tough it got.
Some never even benefited from their hard work.
Or enjoyed the rewards of their sacrifices.

If they were to return and see the conditions.
Nature replaced by Concrete jungles.
They wasted less, as most lived with needs than wants.
Very happy with just the basics, never complaining.

Ask them, what the following words are...
Global warming, Green house effect & Carbon footprints, etc.
Or what YouTube or Google are?
They wouldn't have a clue.
They will probably think of paste out of a tube, fluorescent tube.

Even though i miss my dear beloved father.
I've come to the realisation, it was his time to go.
I used to worry about him, being in pain or all alone.
Whilst we are at work, unable to be there for him.
Especially the last 3 months of his life, bedridden & helpless.

The Japanese earth quake and other natural disaster are an eye opener.
Life and everything gone in seconds.
We complain just about everything.
Depressed or heart broken.
When they can't access network or a loved one has left them.

Life goes on, no matter what happens.
Be grateful for what we have.
Nowadays, many want to make quick buck.
By sacrificing everything for their greed.

Give back, it's not all about take, take, take.
World owes us nothing..
Play your part, the best you can.
Don't become the weakest Link.
